Christmas 2018

Well we’ve made it to Christmas and I cannot wait to put my feet up and take a much needed break from the usual bustle of life for a few days. I hope that whatever your plans are that you are able to have some time to relax too.

I am keeping the shop open over Christmas (there are a very small number of bags in the shop at the moment)  but will not be posting any orders until January 2nd.

I had time yesterday to record a podcast and the notes for episode 20 are below. You can view the episode by clicking on the image below.

Eldenwood Craft podcast episode 20 knitting

As I said at the end of the episode, thank you for all the support you have shown to Eldenwood Craft during 2018; being able to run this small side hustle makes me incredibly happy and it continues to be my dream to grow the business and turn it into my full time adventure. One day….

So  let me take this opportunity to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy 2019. See you on the other side!

Remember to post any final finished objects in the FO thread and I will draw a winner in January before I record again. There will also be a draw for those who have completed all nine of their grid and posted the final grid in the FO thread.

The Make Nine Makealong 2019

The focus will be slightly different in that instead of naming individual patterns you want to make, each box of the grid can be a type of thing you want to make – socks, hat, shawl, jumper etc – or a technique you want to master and the finished item that goes with that – brioche, cables etc. Other ideas would be a new craft that you want to try or a new material you want to use.

The makealong will run in the same way as the 2018 makealong. Quarterly prizes will be drawn from items posted in the FO thread and a final prize will be drawn at the end of the year for all those who finished all 9. Only new cast ons will be allowed please.
